Weston Gateway Welcomes New Pub Restaurant19 Mar 2014
A new Hungry Horse pub opened its doors to the public on the 17th March 2014. Dowlas coordinated the design and build contract to provide the full turnkey package for Green King Brewing and Retailing Ltd, owners of the successful Green King family pub chain.
The new pub called the Super Mare features an extensive food menu and outdoor play area where visitors can relax and enjoy a retreat from their travels or where locals and staff from surrounding businesses can find a welcome break.
A spokesperson for Greene King said: “Hungry Horse has chosen to expand in Weston-Super-Mare to bring our fun, great value family friendly offering to the wider local community. We want to invest in the vibrant local area and offer career opportunities for 40 people. We will offer something for everyone with great value food and drink and plenty for all the family to enjoy.”
Situated just off the A370, and less than half a mile from the M5 motorway, the Super Mare at Weston Gateway Business Park is ideally suited for passing trade. To capitalise on the location Dowlas were asked to provide a large car park which also includes space for coach parties.
The design and build project took just 28 weeks from start to finish. Gemma Day commented “We are delighted to welcome the Hungry Horse Pub Restaurant to Weston Gateway this will provide an invaluable amity to the businesses and occupiers of the business park. We were impressed with the brilliant customer service and time management of our main contractor Midas Construction.”
A variety of design and build plots are available on the site with outline planning permission for commercial, industrial and leisure use.
