With groundwork’s were recently completed on site work quickly moved onto the construction of the impressive steel framework and currently the bricklayers are now building the exterior walls of the new pub.
The Hungry Horse chain is owned by Greene King Brewing and Retailing Limited and the new pub will offer a welcome addition to the business park providing neighbouring companies on site with a relaxed location to entertain clients and break from the 9-5. The completed pub looks out onto the A370 (Somerset Avenue) and is in a prime location to pull in passing trade from visitors to the seaside resort of Weston Super Mare.
To capitalise on passing trade Dowlas we’re asked to provide visitors with a large car park including a coach parking bay to cater for coach trips. Of all the Hungry Horse pubs throughout the UK this is the first to feature a coach parking bay helping to make this an accessible welcome retreat to travels and visitors to Weston.
The pub is expected to open for business in February 2014, having a positive impact on the local economy with 40 full and part time jobs being created as a result.
