Dowlas Director, Gemma Hughes, was crowned the North Somerset Young Business Person of the Year at a recent ceremony held at Double Tree Country House, Congresbury on 26th September to honour successful business in North Somerset
Over 260 of the region’s top business leaders and companies were in attendance at the inagural North Somerset Business Leader Awards, which was hosted by Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE.
The legendary explorer gave a twenty minute speech before overseeing an Awards ceremony to reveal the winners.
Over 103 businesses and individuals entered the Awards, with three companies shortlisted per category by a panel of judges.

Gemma was delighted to be recognised for the work that she has been undertaking at Weston Gateway Business Park. She says, “I was over the moon to be given this award, it has been a steep learning curve for me since taking over at Dowlas so to be given recognition for the work I have been doing is really touching.
